Education: Level 8 degree in Civil Engineering
Skills/Qualifications:
- Proficient in use of Surveying equipment – GPS, Total Station, Dumpy level
- Excellent AutoCAD skills
- Microsoft Office suite proficiency
- Good knowledge of construction procedures and working methods
- Knowledge of current Health and Safety regulations
- IOSH Managing Safely in Construction Certification
- First Aid
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations and company health & safety rules
- Oversee quality control on site for all aspects of the works
- Managing all aspects of the works on site on a daily basis
- Setting out all elements of works
- Maintaining daily site and QA records.
- Supervising sub-contractors works on site
- Liaising with clients and their representatives and attending site progress meetings
- Resolving any unexpected technical difficulties and other problems that may arise
Experience:
- Relevant experience in commercial projects to include roadworks, drainage, concrete structure etc.
- Proven track record as a Setting Out Engineer on civil engineering projects
- Have a minimum of 2 years’ experience with a Main Contractor

- Good problem solving skills
- Enthusiasm and self-drive
